International Business Programs 

Summer Programs 2010: Belgium, France, Germany & Mexico

 Belgium: May 17 - June 5, 2010 (Deadline March 31)

 The HEC Management School - University of Liege & Zuyd University

The Program: The Spirit of Europe (6 credit hours)

This program offers three weeks of lectures, company visits, excursions and city trips. Students will be visiting all kinds of places from the European Parliament and the International Criminal Court of Justice to the Heinken museum. They will also get a first hand feel of university life in Europe.  Students will be traveling through Aachen and Frankfurt - Germany, Brussels - Belgium, Amsterdam, Maastricht, and Hague - The Netherlands and Luxembourg. Students have the choice to make an optional weekend trip to Paris for an additional fee. Since the program is limited to 25 students, program applications must be sent in as soon as possible.

Accommodation: Students will be staying in Youth Hostels throughout the program and when travelling.

Fees: The participation fee is approx $2000(with the early bird discount) or $2228(regular program fee)  plus an addtional $50 Magellan Exchange processing fee. This amount includes accommodation, breakfast, local transportation, fees related to excursion, a farewell dinner, and cost of guidance by the host university. This fee does NOT include cost of airline travel, insurance, food & beverages, personal expenses and other optional trips.

France: July 6 - 17 July, 2009 and August 24 - September 4, 2009 (Deadline March 31)

ESC Rennes School of Business

Program 1:  Responsible Manager

This program is aimed at students who want to develop an understanding of the intricacies involved while working in an International business environment. Some of the topics for study would include stakeholder relationship management, CSR, Sustainability, etc combined with team bulding projects to help students with their interpersonal and decisions making skills. Excursions to famous landmarks and, city trips to local responsibly managed companies will be part of the program schedule.

Accommodation: Housing for the students  will be arranged at Student Atlante, a student complex close to ESC Rennes Scool of Business and the Town Center.

Fees: € 850 that includes tuitions, excursions with transport and a farewell lunch.

Program 2: Survival French

This program offers a two week program in French language and culture. Students will have a chance to take part in workshops, roleplays and other activities that will help them enhance their vocabulary and gain the the knowledge and skills required to interact with other French students and staff. Students will also have the opportunity to visit  the beautiful North West side of France.

Accommodation: Housing for the students will be arranged at Student Atlante, a student complex close to ESC Rennes Scool of Business and the Town Center.

Fees: € 400 that includes tuitions, excursions with transport and a farewell lunch.

Germany: June 9 - June 27, 2010 (Deadline March 31)

University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden

The Program - 14th International Summer School Schmalkalden

This program is designed for students to focus on the changing world economy due to the impact of globalization and the conditions of cross-cultural management. Students will have the opportunity to interact with guest professors/speakers from different countries and continents who will share their views on these global issues. At the end of this program,  participating students will get an in depth understanding of the complex challenges facing economies and firms in the new millenium and also the growing importance of religious values and economic implications in multi-cultural classes. Students will get a full tour of  the beautiful city of Schmalkalden, weekend trip to Berlin and numerous other excursions and field trips to historic sites and landmarks.

Accommodation: Students will be accommodated for the 3 weeks in the university's dormitory or with students/local families. In Berlin, accommodation will be arranged in youth hostels.

Fees: € 750 that includes program fees, accommodation, cultural trips and excursions with transport and certificates for completed modules.
