International Faculty and Staff Opportunities
Ranked faculty can apply to participate in the academic year exchange with Qingdao University in the Shangdong Province of the People’s Republic of China. The person chosen to go from Missouri State to China will teach conversational English and might be asked to teach a course in his or her own discipline. Missouri State will pay the faculty member’s salary and airfare. Qingdao University will provide a small stipend for food and a one-bedroom apartment on campus. The University sends a ranked faculty member each semester to London to teach in the Missouri London Program. The faculty member is expected to teach two courses from his or her own discipline and is expected to participate fully in the course titled “British Life and Culture” which all students are required to take. The University will pay the faculty member’s salary and benefits and will provide a two-bedroom apartment for the assigned semester.
