OPT Information Sessions
For all Spring and Summer Graduates: OPT Information Sessions
Optional Practical Training (OPT) allows you to gain experience in your field of study after graduation. Authorization for OPT is granted by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and applications are submitted to the CIS office in Lincoln, Nebraska. Your application for OPT must be received by CIS prior to the last day of exams of your last semester. Processing time is generally 3-4 months. You cannot work until you have received your Employment Authorization Document.
In order to apply for OPT, you must attend an OPT Information Session. There are only two sessions left this semester:
