The International Services Office looks forward to meeting both undergraduate and graduate students at the International Student Orientation.
All international students MUST attend the New International Student Orientation! At this orientation there will be a variety of information regarding Missouri State University. Some of the things covered at orientation will include: Immigration regulations specific to International Students, Academic Integrity, Safety on- and off-campus, Health Insurance
All new international students MUST check-in with the International Services Office as soon as possible, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - Noon or 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. December 19 through 21, 2016 and January 5, 6, and 9, 2017, after arriving in Springfield and prior to orientation. (New students can only enter the U.S. in F-1 or J-1 visa status within 30 days of the start date indicated on their I-20). You should bring to orientation:
- your passport
- F-1 or J-1 visa
- I-20 or DS-2019
- Printed copy of your I-94 record
- completed copy of the Student Information Sheet
- completed copy of the Online Immigration Tutorial Acknowledgement form (see below).
If International Services does not receive those three items, it can result in termination of your immigration record!
As a new international student at Missouri State University, you are required to complete the online Immigration Tutorial. You will have a Registration Hold on your account until you complete the tutorial. The Immigration Tutorial uses Mediasite, so your browser will ask you to launch Silverlight as a pop up, allow it for this tutorial.
