Required Orientation and Online Sessions for Program Directors
Faculty director orientations
- Program Directors must attend an in-person Education Abroad Faculty Director Orientation each year they direct a program. Dates and times will be determined throughout the academic year and communicated to faculty as dates are made available.
- If Program Directors are approved for a SET (Single Event Travel) Card, they must also attend an in-person SET Training which Education Abroad will coordinate with Procurement Services.
My Learning Connection requirements
- Program Directors must complete the 30 minute online video presentation with Ryan DeBoef, Chief of Staff, regarding legal issues related to Education Abroad programs.
- Program Directors must complete the Campus Security Authority (CSA) training. This is an online training required by MSU because of two Federal Government policies: the Clery Act and Title IX.
Instructions for completing My Learning Connection requirements
- Log in to My Missouri State and click on your Profile tab
- Under the "Professional Development" heading, click on My Learning Connection
- When a new screen launches, search "Education Abroad Legal Orientation" and click on the folder that appears
- Click "Request". This will direct you to your Transcript screen
- Next to the "Education Abroad Programs- Legal Orientation" folder, click the maroon "Register" button.
- This button will now change to "Launch". Click "Launch" to watch the video.
Note: You may have to deactivate your Windows pop-up blocker - After watching the video, check the "Mark as Complete" button
- Click the Sign button to complete your course.
Please repeat steps 1-8 for your CSA training. You may search for "CSA" to locate this training.
