Exchange Programs

The following exchange programs are the most widely-used by Missouri State, and they are certainly only a few of the many vendors out there. This is an excellent tool for preliminary research, but for more specific information, you should consult the vendors’ website, magazine/brochure, or our office staff.

The International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)
The International Student Exchange Program is one of Missouri State’s most popular and most extensive program providers. Offering programs in 39 countries worldwide, students are able to apply to study in nearly any region of the world. ISEP programs allow students to incorporate themselves into the society of their host institution, and there are 275 institutions to choose from.

The International Student Exchange Program offers students the ability to study abroad via two different options: Exchange and Direct. ISEP-Exchange is a mutual exchange “based upon a balance of students from member universities.” Students pay fees to their own institutions with the exchange program. ISEP-Direct is a way for students to enroll directly in a school and pay fees to their host campus. This sometimes appeals to students attempting to study at more competitive schools. Most ISEP members offer both options while others only offer one or the other. Program budget sheet.

ISEP has programs in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Uruguay. Many countries on the ISEP program- like France and French islands, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and South American countries- require language proficiency.

International Business Programs
International Business Programs (IBP) offers one of the most cost effective study abroad options for the Missouri State students who wish to enrich their cross-cultural experiences.  All students (including out-of-state and international students) pay the in-state tuition fees when participating in the exchange program.  Magellan program budget sheet, Blaise-Pascal budget sheet, Chile budget sheet.

The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students and offers courses in all disciplines, including a dual-diploma program with one of its French partners.  Most classes are taught in English and transfer for credit towards a degree.  Language courses are also an option for those who wish to hone their foreign language progiciency.  IBP has partner institutions in Austria, Belgium, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, The Netherlands, and Spain. Programs in Mexico and Spain require language proficiency. Many of the International Business Programs operate throught the Magellan Exchange. Deadlines:  Summer and fall semesters - March 10; spring semester - October 10.
