Deferring Your Admission

We are glad to hear that you are interested in deferring your application or admission to Missouri State University.

To defer application (for incomplete application status)

* Your application file is incomplete. Please mail any missing documents to our office as soon as possible. Check the status of your application.

• Apply Online for the new semester
• Updated bank statement
• Statement of Financial Support Form
• Transcripts from any other schools you have attended since your application

To defer admission (for already admitted students)

*If you have been admitted and received the form I-20 from Missouri State University, you need to take the following actions as well.

• Apply Online for the new semester
• Updated bank statement 
• Statement of Financial Support Form
• Transcripts from any other schools you have attended since your application

Please include your family name, given name, and your Missouri State University student identification M number (M_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _) with all correspondence sent to our office.
