Eligibility Requirements to Study Away at Missouri State University

Reciprocal Exchanges

  • A minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
  • Minimum of 30+ credit hours of university course work must be in progress or completed at the time of application.
  • Must be a full-time student at Missouri State University – Springfield campus the semester prior.
  • Must be in good disciplinary stand with the Office of Student Conduct.

Affiliate Programs

  • A minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
  • Minimum of 30+ credit hours of university course work must be in progress or completed at the time of application.
  • Must be in good disciplinary stand with the Office of Student Conduct. Students pursuing a program that is not a pre-approved Study Away Program must obtain approval from Study Away to receive academic credit.

Short-term Faculty-directed Programs

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher established by the Program Director.
  • Non-Missouri State students must enroll through the Missouri State University Extended campus to receive academic credit.
  • Student disclosure is required at the time of application.

Failure to comply with all the above requirements will result in:

  • The inability to transfer credit back to Missouri State University.
  • A change in financial aid status.
  • A loss of good standing at Missouri State University.

Missouri State University’s Study Away programs reserve the right to change, cancel, or alter any provision of its programs as it deems necessary.
