About Language and Culture Programs

Global knowledge and English fluency are key skills to success in today’s interconnected world. The English Language Institute at Missouri State University offers an immersive opportunity to develop these skills in the Language and Culture Program, which is open to students, professors, and professionals ages 18 and up.

The program will include 20 hours per week of content-based English courses and additional hours of practicum (guided cultural immersion activities). Program instructors are experienced TESOL professionals, many of whom have taught abroad. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

Participants can choose between a 4-week option or a 6-week option for those who want to spend more time improving their English abilities. Options are available at various times to fit a variety of international schedules.*

*Schedule availability varies by world region. This means the diversity of program participants will be different for each Language and Culture Program, creating a unique experience.
