What is English for Musicians?

English for Musicians is an innovative program that gives international musicians the opportunity to learn English for advanced studies in music while continuing to improve as musicians by studying and performing with MSU music professors. This program combines music-specific terminology with the advanced reading, writing, and research skills needed to pursue a graduate degree in music.

What is Conditional Admission to the Master of Music at Missouri State?

Conditional admission means that a student is eligible to apply for their selected degree with minimum requirements that have not been met yet. After the requirements have been met, the student will be admitted to the degree program.

As a student in the Master of Music program at Missouri State University, you will continue to develop your individual talents, interests, and philosophies related to music in modern facilities and alongside outstanding faculty of musicians and scholars. The Master of Music degree offers the following concentrations: Composition; Conducting (Choral, Wind, or Orchestral); Pedagogy (the science of teaching an instrument); and Performance.
