About the ELI 

The English Language Institute (ELI) at Missouri State University was founded in 1996, and its English for Academic Purposes program holds the gold-standard accreditation for English programs by the esteemed Commission on English Program Accreditation (CEA).

The mission of the Special Programs unit of the ELI is, “Connecting individuals around the world to personal and professional success through accelerated, results-oriented, and affordable language and leadership programs.”  We are proud to offer online programs for students considering studying in the U.S. Taught by experienced instructors at Missouri State University, these courses connect students with the skills they need to increase their English competence and become outstanding applicants to a variety of degree programs.
