Global Leadership Academy Application

Application Process

Seats are limited for all programs. Participants will be selected based on eligibility and the order in which applications are received. Please apply as soon as possible to reserve space in the program.

  1. Complete an application
    Complete the online application and pay $250 deposit by April 1, 2023
  2. Have an interview
    Schedule an English interview (we will contact you after application received)
  3. Send personal documentation
    Send a copy of the biographical page of your passport by email to ELISpecialPrograms@MissouriState.edu.
  4. Complete required program forms
    ELI Special Programs will send you program forms via email. These must be completed and returned to ELISpecialPrograms@MissouriState.edu.
  5. Receive an invitation letter
    After receiving your application, interview, and all documents, ELI Special Programs will send you an invitation letter, which you can take with you to your B (tourist) visa interview at the embassy. NOTE: Participants from U.S. Tourist Visa Waiver Countries will skip this step. Click here to see the US Tourist Visa Waiver Countries.
  6. Pay the full amount of the program
    After obtaining your visa, pay complete program fees by June 16, 2023.

Participant Experience
*Because of its unique structure, this program is designed for low intermediate to advanced English speakers (Level B1 or higher of the CEFR). Beginner level students would not be able to understand program content.

Parent Authorization
I (the parent) know that every reasonable and customary precaution will be taken to assure the safety of everyone. I waive all claims in the event of an accident or injury absolving the Global Leadership Academy Program and all individuals thereof, from responsibility. In cases of illness of my child, I authorize the English Language Institute (ELI), through the appropriate staff to seek medical treatment at my expense. I give permission to ELI to use photos/videos of my child at the camp for promotional use only
