International Transfer Student Application Checklist

Missouri State University welcomes transfer students from around the world. Follow the steps below to submit your application for admission.

  1. Apply online.
    Complete the online application for admission with the $40 application fee. International students should answer all questions fully and be prepared to submit the following documents as part of the application:
     

  2. Academic transcripts.
    Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded directly to your application portal for evaluation purposes. Official transcripts can be submitted (1) in-person, (2) electronically directly from the issuing institution, (3) or through the mail directly from your high school or college to the address below:

    The minimum GPA requirement is 2.5/4.0.

  3. Proof of English Proficiency.
    Have your IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores sent to Missouri State University. We accept the following test scores: TOEFL-iBT 61, IELTS 5.5, PTE 44, Duolingo 95, or completion of level 5 at the English Language Institute. Please click here for more details.

  4. A copy of your passport ID page.
  5. Standardized test scores. 
    The SAT and ACT tests are not required for international students. However, submitting your official scores can help you qualify for scholarships. Missouri State University's SAT school code is 6665 and our ACT school code is 2370.

    Once admitted, log into your application portal and work on the following steps:

    1. Complete the I-20 request form
    2. Complete the Statement of Financial Support form
    3. Upload a copy of your funding support
