Things to Keep in mind before buying or renting textbooks:  

• • Make sure they are the right textbooks 

• • Check the author(s) and title 

• • Check the edition 

• • Check the ISBN 

• • Check the date you have to return them (if you are renting) and make sure it is after your final exams.

• • Check when you will need them and make sure they arrive before that date.  

• • Pay attention to the conditions of the materials before you order them.

• • Be aware that used materials may not come with supplemental materials (e.g. CDS, access codes).
    
    

Check your syllabus and talk with your professor to see whether they will be using any online components or supplemental materials that should come with the textbook.
