In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Missouri State University plans to offer a hybrid model of instruction for the fall 2021 semester. This is defined as a mixture of online and in-person classes. Our operations have been confirmed with SEVP for the fall 2021 semester.
International students planning to enroll on-campus in the fall
Using the hybrid model, new and continuing international students on campus are able to take more than one course online. Students are recommended to take at least one in-person or blended course in the fall 2021 semester.
New international students planning to enroll online in the fall
New international students should verify fall 2021 online enrollment with International Services and attend virtual New International Student Orientation on August 12-13. These students will not travel to Springfield, Missouri for the fall 2021 semester so they do not need to sit for a visa interview until they prepare to arrive in the spring 2022 semester.
Continuing international students planning to enroll online in the fall
Continuing international students should verify fall 2021 online enrollment with International Services. Students who held an active SEVIS record in March 2021 will be able to maintain active status for the fall 2021 semester.
