Here's what CELTA grads have to say about it...

Backed by Cambridge English Language Assessment
CELTA courses at Missouri State are taught by individuals who have completed a rigorous training program offered by Cambridge English Language Assessment. Our tutors have many years of TEFL/TESOL teaching experience, both domestically and abroad. CELTA course quality is assured by external assessors on behalf of Cambridge, who assess each CELTA course offered.
Hands-on, practical learning experience
What makes CELTA stand out is practical experience. Unlike many TEFL programs, you will plan lessons and teach actual English language learners. You will get ideas and learn techniques from observing your trainers' and fellow trainees' lessons. Helpful feedback sessions after the lessons with lots of input from your trainer and fellow trainees further your development and growth. When you complete the CELTA, you'll be a more confident teacher with real classroom experience.
Limited class sizes for maximum tutor/trainee interaction
Each CELTA course is limited to a trainee to tutor ratio of 6:1. More interaction time with your tutor means you'll have more time for feedback and reviews of your work and more access to the experts.
