ELI’s EAP Deferral Procedure

In order get a new I-20 issued for a later session of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, you will need to meet the following requirements: 

1. It is no more than one week after the beginning of the session for which you applied. 
   For example: If you applied for a session starting March 13, you need to ask your deferral before March 20.
2. You are ready to send a current bank statement and an updated statement of financial support to ELI@missouristate.edu
3. You have NOT already requested a deferral for this application.
   1. You are limited to ONE deferral per application. 
4. You have paid the  SEVIS I-901 Fee.  
5. You have made a visa appointment and can submit the confirmation receipt.
6. You have completed the Linguaskill Placement test and have been tested into an offered level
