Abstract - Can students increase their cultural awareness in a one- or two-week education abroad program? The answer is YES with intentional planning. Join Elizabeth Strong, Director, Education Abroad, Dr. Mary Willis, Department Head, Sociology and Anthropology, and Amy Huff, Advisor, Education Abroad for tips and strategies to broaden student perspectives, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and develop empathy for other cultures.
