I Succeed Center for International Students
The Office of International Programs at Missouri State University is thrilled to announce the availability of the I Succeed Center for International Students with the purpose of identifying specific academic needs of international students and providing the necessary support to have a successful academic experience at MSU and beyond.
We offer the following free services for international students:
- English language support
- Assistance in understanding U.S. academic culture
- Advice on academic publications, conference presentations, and networking
- Strategies for cultural adjustment
- Guidance on continuing education (ex. Masters, Ph.D. application process)
Visit the I Succeed Center located at the Jim D. Morris Center, Office 200.
Hours of operation: Mondays 2-4pm, Thursdays 1-4pm, and Fridays 9am-2pm (No appointment needed)

Meet our Academic Advisors
Dr. Antoinette Barffour
Dr. Barffour is an Assist. Prof. of French and Applied Linguistics. Her teaching and research broadly focus on cross-linguistic interactions and language change. She has expertise in advising, mentoring, diversity, and inclusion. She is passionate about working with international students towards a goal of improving their academic success.
Hello! My name is Natalie Opitz. As an English and TESOL teacher, I truly enjoy working with international students helping them learn new material and understand concepts related to English. My goal is to help students become more comfortable and proficient in academic and cultural issues for their continued success at MSU and future endeavors.
