Abstract - This presentation takes the international travel and educational experiences of a U.S. born and educationally trained professional educator and explores the lessons learned while teaching in China and Costa Rica. This presentation will examine the preconceived notions of the educator and look at how and why adjustments were made in teaching and social interactions. This session will also explore the impact of international teaching expereinces on faculty professional and leadership development.
