Dr. Kathleen Ann Ramos
Kathleen Ann Ramos, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Exceptional Learners (TCLDEL) program in George Mason University’s School of Education. Kathy prepares preservice and in-service teachers, locally and internationally, to teach PK-12 to Adult Multilingual Learners (MLLs) with equity and excellence. Her research interests include engaging educators to teach for global competence through a social justice, anti-racism lens. Other research areas are multiliteracies and translanguaging pedagogies that support integrated content, language, and literacy development with PK-12 to Adult MLLs across educational contexts and researching features of effective online teacher education programs.
