Dr. Rebecca Eisenberg
Rebecca Eisenberg is a secondary Social Studies teacher at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon. She recently completed her PhD in International Education from George Mason University. In addition to classroom teaching, Dr. Eisenberg delivers professional development for practitioners on trauma and resilience in the classroom, working with newly arrived students, and globalized education. Research interests include intercultural competence in K-12 schools, education of refugees and newly arrived students, adolescents in conflict and post-conflict zones, conflict resolution in schools, and trauma-informed educational practices.
