Topic-Specific Training Programs
The ILTC offers training in a variety of fields. Once we understand your organization's specific training needs, we build a customized plan to meet your goals for program content, delivery time, and participant experience.
-
Exposure to Best Practices
Practical experience, including business visits and interaction with professional peers, ensures participants are exposed to best practices in leadership, management, and other specific training fields.
-
Cross-Cultural Classroom Experience
Classroom experience is important for many ILTC groups. We find ways to integrate classroom learning experiences with cross-cultural opportunities so students learn to solve problems with a global mindset.
-
English Language Instruction
English training is available to participants in a variety of formats, but is not required. Translators are available for participants who would like to complete training in their native language.
Customized Programs
The ILTC specializes in training programs related to the following areas: agriculture, biotechnology, entrepreneurship, health care, project management and other program areas.
By partnering with the MSU Darr College of Agriculture, we offer academic and practical
training in animal science, agronomy, viticulture and winemaking. University resources
such as the State Fruit Experiment Station and Journagan Ranch provide agriculture
students with opportunities for field experience and the hands-on application of classroom
knowledge.
Experienced researchers, talented faculty and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities
provide a challenging and rewarding environment for visiting students of biology and
biotechnology. Tours of leading life science and medical research institutes add
exposure to cutting-edge discoveries happening in Missouri.
Our entrepreneurship and innovation programs introduce participants to American business
culture, organization strategy, management workshops, and include site visits to regional
organizations to exchange best practices and learn from experienced professionals.
Health care is an important and growing profession throughout the world. Our health
care programs feature an emphasis on leadership and communication, with English for
Health Care language instruction, technical training and professional interaction
with U.S. health care providers.
Missouri State University now offers a two-stage process for students from India to
complete the Master of Science in Project Management. The MS-Project Management is
an interdisciplinary and applied program that provides STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics) education to project management professionals from all
disciplines.
Other areas of customized professional development programs have been organized by
the ILTC, including business matchmaking between international professionals and Missouri
companies, and faculty/staff training for educators from international partner universities.
