Supporting Grant for International Virtual Exchange Project
The purpose of this grant is to encourage and support MSU faculty to explore innovative and collaborative ways of global teaching and learning in their curriculum with the focus on engaging MSU students in the collaborative projects to form a reflective understanding local community in the international context. Developing global citizens with the aspiration and ability to think globally and act locally is one of the ultimate goals for our global engagement mission.
This supportive grant is $500 per faculty to compensate for their extra time and work in their planning and implementing the virtual exchange project, as well as the coordinating work with international faculty in the matched international courses. Each semester, there will be two grants that can be awarded to the faculty. The specific benefits of having international virtual exchange courses include expanding access for MSU students to intercultural learning and experiences, promoting MSU reputation and brand internationally, and attracting potential international students to study at MSU.
