Public Affairs Passport
How to Participate
Enhance Your Cultural Competence Without Leaving Springfield!
The Office of Education Abroad and the Education Abroad Student Organization are launching
a new way to build cultural competence on campus and within our community while earning
rewards. Attend cultural events on campus or in the community (or complete personal
cultural development activities) to collect entries toward a Global Engagement prize
bundle!
Program Details
HOW TO PLAY
- See our list of approved cultural events on campus and in Springfield for the semester
on this page.
- Want to do your own? If you find another event that's not listed or want to create
your own activity (e.g., cook an international dish or watch a foreign film), you
may submit a cultural reflection (~150 to 250 words) along with a photo, and it will
considered as a submission within reason.
- Submit the Activity Form.
- Your name will be entered into the drawing one time for each activity you submit.
- Two winners will be chosen, each of whom may choose their Global Engagement Prize
Bundle.
- Email EducationAbroad@MissouriState.edu with questions or feedback!
RULES
- All activities must be submitted by April 24, 2026. The winners will be announced
the following week.
- Maximum of 8 submissions.
- No repeat submissions for events (i.e. Conversation Circles happen on a weekly basis,
but should only count toward one submission, even if you attend multiple sessions).
This also applies to individualized cultural activities (i.e., you may not submit
a different foreign dish you cook each week). However, if the event you attended is
repeatable and you enjoyed it, we highly recommend your continued participation!
- Activities without the written reflection will not be considered.
- Activities without photo will not be considered.
