Award for Excellence in Short-Term Education Abroad Programming

The Education Abroad Advisory Committee (EAAC) seeks to recognize outstanding faculty members who foster cultural competence and/or community engagement in their work to direct education abroad programs.

The two award categories are Cultural Competence and Community Engagement. The Office of Education Abroad solicits nominations for the Award for Excellence in Education Abroad Programming by emailing all student participants after the conclusion of each faculty-directed program. Nominees are contacted in November with the instructions for completing an application packet.

Nominee application packets are reviewed by the Education Abroad Advisory Committee and recipients are recognized by the President and Provost at the spring All Faculty Reception.
