Archaeological Excavation at Tel Gezer, Israel

Program purpose: The purpose of the program is to introduce students to the history and geography
of ancient Israel, and to increase students’ understanding and appreciation of the
discipline of archaeology, and to provide them with practical experience with the
skills of field methods and techniques. Methods and techniques include evaluating
archaeological data in its field context and in relation to history and biblical studies,
and field recording, surveying, and strategic planning.
Program cost per student: $4,625.00 plus Missouri State tuition
