Intensive German Language and Culture in Wittenberg (Germany)

Program purpose: Intensive study and everyday use of German language, study and direct experience of culture through coursework, field trips to museums, cultural centers and architectural sites. This program will help students develop cultural and language competence through home stays.

Program cost per student: $3,000

Dates of program: May 23-June 25

Application deadline: Early enrollment by January 14, 2011 (Cost is $3,000)
Enrollment after January 14, 2011 (Cost is $3,200)
Enrollment deadline March 21, 2011 (Airfare may be more at this date).

Deposit: $250

Class: GRM 201 and 202; GRM 311 and 312 Conversation and Composition; GRM 475 and 498 Special Topics courses; GRM 325 or IDS 397 (9 credits total).

What is included? pickup from Berlin-Tegel airport, stay with a German host family including breakfast and dinner, Farewell banquet with host parents, language courses and course materials with Wittenberg University, MSU and Wittenberg University sponsored field trips, transportation within Germany, entry fees to churches and museums.

What is not included? Tuition, air transportation, personal expenses, lunch, textbooks, health insurance, and passport.
