Missouri State University's Department of Communication, Media, Journalism, and Film is excited to offer an exclusive international exchange opportunity with Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. MJF students can apply to study abroad at OBU for a semester
or academic year.

Eligibility Requirements
Coursework is only available in Media, Journalism, and Film Studies. Applicants must be pursuing a major or minor within the Department of Media, Journalism, and Film.

Program Costs
Students pay in-state Missouri State University tuition for their courses at OBU and pay housing and meal costs directly to OBU. Transportation and personal expenses are not included in the cost of the program.
Estimated Costs Per Semester:
- Application Fee: $100
- Tuition: $3,530
- Housing: $ 3,600 (cost varies)
- Meals: $ 1,200 US (cost varies)
- Education Abroad Fee: $300
- Personal Expenses: $(cost varies)
Total Cost for One Semester: $8,799 + airfare and personal expenses
Course Information
OBU's Media, Journalism, and Film courses are pre-approved to transfer back to Missouri State University as MJF courses. Check the Transfer Equivalency Database through the My Missouri State portal to see a list of available courses at OBU.

How to Apply to be an MSU Exchange Student at OBU
Using the above online application portal, applicants must submit the following to the Education Abroad program advisor before the intended deadline:

- $100 Application Deposit (charged to your student account at the time of application)
- Read the OBU application guide and complete the OBU application
- Photocopy of passport
- Personal Statement
- One letter from recommendation from a Missouri State faculty member
- Official Transcript from Missouri State University
Immigration Documents
Once accepted into the program, UK-bound U.S. passport holders can apply for a student visitor visa at the port of entry upon arrival to England. If a students wishes to work, intern, or volunteer, a Tier 4 visa must be obtained before leaving the United States.. Education Abroad does not advise on the visa application process, so please visit the United Kingdom's consular website for more information.
